Some of the strongest communities in motorsports begin in unexpected places. Antidote Drift started in a Forza lobby.

What began as two friends driving together online eventually grew beyond the screen and into the real world. Over time, Antidote evolved into more than a team. It became a family-oriented group built around a shared passion for cars, drifting, and a desire to help others coming into the culture.

As the group expanded, so did its ambitions. Antidote Drift established a shop in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. There they worked on projects and continued building Antidote before eventually moving operations to NOLA Motorsports Park, a facility that would become their home circuit.

The journey was not without adversity. Shortly after launching his own business, co-founder Connor Landry received life-changing news. What initially appeared to be a minor concern led to a diagnosis of Stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The diagnosis brought uncertainty, forcing him to confront personal goals, family responsibilities, and the future he had worked to create.

Yet throughout treatment, drifting remained a constant. Antidote had already existed as a name, but its meaning began to change. What started in a game became a support system. The friendships, goals, and shared passion behind Antidote provided purpose before, during, and after treatment. In many ways, the sport became the antidote, the cure.

As Landry recovered, another goal began to take shape. Antidote’s cars would eventually wear matching liveries, bringing the vision fully to life. The team continued to grow, focusing not only on drifting but also on strengthening the culture surrounding it.

That vision reached a milestone with the Kart Track Revival at NOLA Motorsports Park. After sitting dormant for six years, the kart circuit was brought back to life.

Antidote Drift was asked to help curate and make the event happen, presenting a great opportunity to help reignite a part of the New Orleans drifting community.

For Antidote, the event represented more than tire smoke and tandem runs. It was the realization of goals coming to life. A team born from friendships had grown into a community capable of helping revive a major event at the very track they call home.

At the end of the day, Antidote’s future remains simple: Continue growing, continue improving, and continue giving back to the culture that helped shape the group. The group’s mission has never been about being the biggest name in drifting; it’s about building something lasting and bringing people along for the ride.
