Welcome back to Nashville Superspeedway. If you caught my recent coverage of an early-Sunday-morning Nashville Cars n’ Coffee meet, you’ll know that there was another event happening after lunch: the Stoopicold Nashville 2026 Car Show and Drift Experience.

The day had started wet, but by the time the afternoon rolled around, the weather had only gotten worse. But the show still went on, and with a surprisingly large turnout given the conditions.

Stoopicold was held on the back of the track, which meant a little walk to get there and a few photo opportunities along the way. There were a lot of nice cars, including a GT-R, a Z Heritage Edition, an Audi RS3, a clean Nissan S14, a Mitsubishi 3000GT, and a Volvo V70 wagon. I also spotted a few duos: a Mercedes-Benz AMG GT and 560 SEC; a Honda Integra and (Acura) RSX; an E46 BMW M3 and what appeared to be an E39 540i. Now that’s a nice lineup.

Stoopicold has two parts: a car show and drifting. I first stopped by the makeshift drift pits, which were a hive of activity as drivers readied themselves for the event. My favorite car? That had to be this Nissan Silvia S15.

On the other side of the track, you have the paddocks and the car show. It’s quite clever and a great way to make use of the space here. The show almost felt like an extension of IMPORTEXPO Chattanooga, which I attended back in November. I recognized some of the cars from that event, plus a whole lot of builds I’d never seen before. Some of them were totally insane, slammed to the floor on airbags, with crazy interiors.

I spotted the Toyota Corona wagon and Lexus LS 400 from Cars n’ Coffee, as well as an FD3S Mazda RX-7. I have to make mention of the white FC3S RX-7, which was super clean and classy. Next on my radar was a purple R33 Nissan Skyline and a yellow S14 Silvia pairing.

The attention to detail on the time attack-spec GT-R was wild, and even in the rain, it just popped. Then I found a Toyota Chaser duo – one white, one purple – which might have topped the R33 and S14.

Once I had finished walking through the car show, I headed over to the drift element, which was being run on the large skid pan. I wasn’t in the best spot to capture the action, but I still wanted to include some shots in here to give you an idea of how it played out. The wet weather definitely had an impact on the drivers, many of whom were finding the slippery surface challenging at best.

Despite the rain, I really enjoyed both Nashville Cars n’ Coffee and the Stoopicold Car Show and Drift Experience. It’s great to be part of such an awesome community, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the rest of 2026 has to offer!
