From the moment you wake up, thousands of thoughts and dreams crowd your mind, rushing at breakneck speed at every moment of the day; at work, at the barber shop and on your lunch break, while doing everyday things that should – at least on paper, take priority.

This is our life at Magione Superbattle (MSB), and for thirteen years, it has been a part of our journey from simple enthusiasts, to drivers, to organisers. With the same fire, the same dream, the same direction. Our obsession with the Japanese Time Attack scene is something that can hardly be expressed in words. It’s a feeling, an energy that defines us.

Remembering the Tsukuba Super Battle to the Option Superlap, and now the modern “Attack” series, our path follows legends. From the Cyber Evo and Mr Takizawa, through Under Suzuki, arriving finally at Fire Ando and the record of 2023. Every milestone adds fuel to the fire that drives us forward.

Countless trips to Tsukuba, starting in 2014, for the legendary Battle Evome, left us with images, sounds, and emotions impossible to forget. Those days marked us deeply, inspired us and gave us the strength and vision to create something of our own, something born from pure admiration and passion.

Thus was created the Magione Superbattle, a name perhaps romanticised, but full of meaning. Edition after edition, it has become a true reference point for motorsport in Italy. Born in 2022 at the Autodromo dell’Umbria in Magione, it has now reached its fourth edition, growing incredibly, year after year, driven by dedication.

But the Superbattle isn’t just an event. It is the result of thirteen years of absolute commitment; dreams pursued with stubbornness and belief. It is a bridge between two worlds, geographically distant, yet united by the same unfiltered passion for Time Attack and Japanese motorsport culture.

From its first edition, the event grew exponentially. In just four years it became a benchmark in Italy and Europe for those who live this world with hunger, dedication, and culture. The Magione Superbattle quickly became more than a gathering, it became a movement, a symbol of grassroots spirit reborn.

Then came 2025: the consecration. On October 4 and 5, 2025, Magione Superbattle wrote its own page in the history of time attack. Our guest of honour? A true motorsport legend, Keiichi Tsuchiya, present in Italy and Europe for the first time at an amateur Superlap event. A dream made reality, a circle completed after years of passion.

In the months before, we prepared a dedicated car for him: an HKS Supercharged Honda S2000, track-prepared and tailored to his driving needs. It featured a dedicated livery, custom seating position, suspension, differential, and Yokohama A050 G/S tyres imported from Japan, the quintessential Japanese S-Tyres, or semi-slicks.

For the Superbattle drivers, sharing the track, garages and pit lane with a legend like Keiichi was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Watching him move among the cars in the paddock left many breathless. The atmosphere was almost sacred, a collective moment of respect and awe few will ever forget.

Tsuchiya drew thousands of fans from all over Italy, and beyond, who gathered to watch him push our S2000 to its limits with disarming mastery. His first Saturday session was unforgettable: twenty minutes on track, no pit stops, not even to check tyre pressures. Pure connection between man, car, and circuit.

At sixty-nine years old, driving a car he’d never seen before on an unfamiliar track and with left-hand drive, Keiichi reminded everyone of what true talent is. His spirit carries the weight of decades, the awareness of having shaped generations of fans and rewritten entire chapters of motorsport history.

Beyond the track, the 2025 edition featured a carefully curated exposition area. It added enormous value for visitors, who enjoyed live interviews with sponsors, teams, and drivers, including Tsuchiya himself, assisted by our friend Taiki Uchida, our Japan-based MSB contact.

Putting the driver at the centre has always been the heartbeat of the Magione Superbattle. Participants arrive from all over Europe for one weekend a year at a lesser-known Italian circuit, far from the big motorsport hubs, yet they come, because they know what makes this event truly different.

Many call it inexplicable, but anyone who has attended even once understands. At MSB, drivers help each other, respect each other, and live the weekend without rivalry, in a calm and constructive setting. Every element is designed for them, to make them feel valued and free.

Sessions are shorter to reduce traffic, marshals are attentive, and above all, the environment ensures the driver is always at the centre of it all. Everyone who takes part knows: at MSB, you’re not a number, you are the protagonist. The track belongs to you, and the passion binds everyone together.

The public feels it too. The stands above the pits were full, and crowds gathered along the grass of Turn 1, one of the most technical and spectacular corners of the circuit. It was proof that authentic passion still moves hearts, that motorsport’s soul is alive and well in Italy.

Watching Keiichi dance through the Umbrian hills, sharing the track with our participants – those who believe in MSB, moved us deeply. It reminded us of the essence of this long journey, that commitment and perseverance always win. And above all, that true passion never fades.
