It’s been 30 years since the RAYS Volk Racing TE37 debuted, and three decades later, the iconic six-spoke wheel continues to dominate both the show and motorsport worlds alike.

Walking the show floor at Wekfest Japan 2026, TE37s could be seen on some of Japan’s most legendary platforms. Nissan Skyline GT-Rs, Silvia S15s, FD3S Mazda RX-7s, and countless others proudly wore the timeless wheel. For fans of the TE37, the event was the perfect opportunity to see the sheer variety of sizes, finishes, and fitments that have kept this forged icon relevant for generations.

From aggressive track-inspired setups to perfectly dialed stance builds, the TE37 proved once again why it remains one of the most respected and recognizable wheels in Japanese car culture.

The TE37V was one of the more popular choices, and it is easy to see why. The deep-dish design is a perfect choice for those who run a wide body kit.

The TE37 Saga could also be seen on countless builds throughout the event. Over at the RAYS booth, Dino’s BMW M4 Convertible stole plenty of attention sitting on a set of 20-inch TE37 Saga S-plus wheels with the new Shining Light Metal (SI) option finish.

The wall of wheels showcased RAYS’ vast catalog and range of finishes and colors. If I had to pick a favorite, though, it would have to be Dash White (DW).

But there’s just something about the original concave variants of the TE37 that makes them look so good. Take this Honda NSX, for example. I can’t recall what the original finish was, but the owner polished the wheels himself. I think they came out absolutely perfect.

Then again, every car wearing the originals is a match made in heaven.

Since this year’s event coincided with the TE37’s 30th anniversary, RAYS decided to present a special award to one owner as a small gesture of appreciation for the community that has supported the wheel for decades.

With me, Alec, and Dino attending the show, it was up to the Turnpike crew to choose a winner. After looking over countless builds on TE37 wheels, it all came down to the aforementioned NSX and another Honda that I think you’re really going to like.

In the end, we chose Shunichi Ito’s incredible Honda S2000, sitting on a set of MAG Blue (BL) TE37s measuring 17×9-inch +22 at all four corners. It wasn’t just the wheels that caught our attention, either; it was the entire build. Everything from the fitment to the overall execution felt perfectly balanced, making it one of the standout cars of the show for all of us.

Behind the TE37s sat a set of Spoon brakes, while the exterior featured a Spoon S-Tai front bumper paired with a Racebred front splitter, ASM bonnet, Toyoshima Craft carbon fiber side skirts, and a Voltex rear diffuser. Tying the entire rear end together was a massive Voltex Type 5 wing mounted above a K1 Laboratory ducktail.

Giving out the award wasn’t easy, and for one simple reason: TE37s look perfect on every car they’re fitted to.

Here’s to many more years of the RAYS Volk Racing TE37, a wheel that has earned its place as a true icon of car culture.
